Prenatal Yoga at Kure Beach starts December 11th
The first 15 minutes of class will be a time for sharing and talking with each other; including discussing common topics related to your pregnancy and the birth process. Please feel free to enter class at any time during these first 15 minutes. Pose practice will begin at 5:30p
Set aside this time each week to connect with other women as you share your pregnancy experiences week by week.
A nurturing class that will provide yoga poses that are specifically beneficial in helping to decrease the common discomforts of pregnancy while offering techniques that can enhance preparation for the labor and birth process.
Each class will include a time for information sharing, pose practice that is appropriate for all pregnancy stages, breath work and meditation.

Paula Huffman, BS, RN, ERYT holds a BS in Special Education, an NC License to practice as a Registered Nurse, and is certified as an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher. She studied with the Center for Mindfulness at the University of Massachusetts with Jon Kabat-Zinn, completing MBSR training for health care providers and the 9-day MBSR intensive. She also completed a Mindfulness Teacher training through the Program on Integrative Medicine at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Paula holds part-time adjunct faculty position with UNC's Dept of Physical Medicine and Rehab's Program on Integrative Medicine where she leads workshops and retreats.
Paula has been actively practicing yoga and meditation since the 70’s. She incorporates these practices into her classes as well as her daily life.
